Dawnstar is brought in to track down the boss of the brainwashed raiders who have been stealing resources from the galaxy. On the planet Zerox, Brainiac 5 seeks information about Pulsar Stargrave from the sorcerous Starstone, who reveals that Stargrave is not Brainiac 5's father.

Wildfire, the current leader of the Legion of Super-Heroes, recruits a mutant woman named Dawnstar who has the ability to track anything or anyone. Her abilities help the Legionnaires find the space pirates that have been attacking unsuspecting spaceships. Dawnstar is able to track their base back to Earth, where the Legion takes them out for good. A grateful Legion and Wildfire offer membership to Dawnstar and she readily accepts.

Story 2: Five Against One

Brainiac 5 tries to steal an artifact from Mordru the Mystic for Pulsar Stargrave, a man who claims to be Brainiac 5's father.
